  My daughter is in pinderfields now for day surgery and is on children's ward. The staff here are totally amazing! I want to praise Sonya Frank who is outstanding and has been running around non stop honestly. She has made sure every patient and family member is comfortable and has been offering amazing service. Katie talked to my daughter as well as all the kids prior to the surgery and once she explained what the procedure was my daughter was settled. THANK YOU so much!

  I'm giving this hospital more than the one star as I'm sure there are good staff somewhere within it who deserve recognition and they do help some people- but I cannot bring myself to raise it above 2 stars. The NHS is a really wonderful thing and I'm very grateful for it, many people do their best with far less funding than they really need to survive. However sadly I have only experienced disrespect, ignorance and rudeness from staff at Pinderfields however. Went for an EEG and was treated like a time waster until the health professional looked at the screen after her coffee break and her attitude completely changed to nice (so I knew there was something odd on the results). In the cafe I left my elderly mother for 1 minute as I needed to fetch something, to return to see nurses rolling their eyes and laughing at her for getting confused (she was unwell at the time) - it sickened me that these were people who should have compassion.
